About Product
Leaf shows how a chat assistant can help students find university information without searching through several pages or offices. Students choose a topic or ask a question in their own words.
The demo covers academic support contacts, student services and information about courses and admissions. It helps students find the person or service that can assist them further.
Leaf is a Banya Labs project in partnership with Mambo Systems. The demo is currently inactive and is shown as previous work, rather than an official university support service.
Dual-Surface Execution
Human vs. Agent Flow
Every action in Leaf — UP Student Support AI (Demo) is mapped bi-directionally across Surface A (Visual UI) and Surface B (Programmatic MCP Engine).
- 01Start a conversation in the demo.
- 02Choose a topic or ask a question.
- 03Read the relevant university information.
- 04Find the right support contact.
- 05Contact the person or service for further help.
1. Discovery: Scraper/Agent fetches /llms.txt or /.well-known/mcp.json manifest.
2. Tool Invocation: Executes deterministic Zod-validated tool contracts matching project-kganya operations.
3. Replay Protection: Enforces Idempotency-Key: <uuid> to prevent duplicate mutations during LLM retry loops.
4. Token Compression: Returns structured, PII-minimized Markdown/JSON stripping all layout noise.
